That's fine, but it is actually not needed.  If someone really wants to know
what you're coming from, then he can easily read the old messages.  And if
he doesn't have them, there are archives of the mailing list.  And they are
mentioned on the same page where the mailing lists are mentioned at
linux-mandrake.com.  Because of this, quoting the whole text simply wastes
space and bandwith.
