I bought a Best Data Modem, it said right on the box "Linux Compatible".
I jumpered it to use tty2 and irq 4, works like a charm.  Got it from
CompUSA. They are out there and resrearching the hardware compatibility
database can be a big help in finding what you want. Good Luck.  Dennis
