I got another tip today that may be worth investigating a little bit. Since the problem may be related to timing between the two disks, it may be an idea to separate them, one master on each IDE channel. That is if you have 2 ATA66 ports (and 2 ATA33 ports) as is the case with the Abit BE6-II mobos. Does anybody have any comment to this approach (before I rip open the box and rewire everything)?
