i am not completely up on the histroy of this thread, as i don't use KDE much i was
not paying attention =) but i seem to remember someone said the KDE 1.x themes do
not work at all with KDE 2 unless you "convert" them over, and there was something in
KDE 2 that would do this.... but that is all i recall. sorry -- but does that help
you out any?

Dear All, I just asked about the theme manager, also, but so far no one
has answered. I , too, loved the way the thememanager worked in 7.0. I
am disappointed about the absence of it in 7.2. Was this an oversight?
Mike, how exactly did you install the themes you wanted? I am a newbie
and need to know every step in detail if someone would be willing to
help me here.
Is there a way we can inform Linux-Mandrake of this thememanager
problem? I do remember they were asking for suggestions for awhile. I
guess I will just go and check their website again. Thanks for your
