Really? I've got the SB Xgamer Live! card, and according to various groups
(like the Exult team) SB Live! cards -don't- support certain things. For
example, do a:

cat /dev/sndstat

and see if you get a "no such device" reply. I do, and thats why Exult won't
play MIDI sounds. (other cards will report this dev as being there).

Its also why older ports like Doom and Heretic for Linux won't play music under
my card/setup. They do play sounds in these games fine though.

PS Note that some software like Kmidi works just fine...
