Thanks for all the help and hints that you have given me over the past few
days.
Today, I bit the bullet and did the installation. Of course, there are a
couple of problems.
I obviously selected the wrong generic monitor profile for my Darius
HRV-1024 monitor - when I boot into MD 8.0 I get three images on the
screen. How do I boot to a low level (VGA) or text mode so that I can
change my monitor profile? And how do i go about changing the profile - I
have yet to see anything clear on the screen so i can not research this
info until I resolve the issue.
Also, I use ADSL for internet connectivity. My provider uses DHCP and i
have a Cisco 678 modem and an SMC EZCard 10 ISA NIC. The Internet wizard
did not show my modem as one of those available when it probed. Any idea
how to sort this out?
