There is a great perl script to help one setup sendmail/fetchmail. Look
for it on freshmeat, but I beleive it's called `setup fetchmail' or some
such thing. It helps with the configuring of aliases etc.

Until you get the hang of using crontabs by cli, I'd suggest using
webmin, or maybe after using the cli - to look at the tab in webmin to see
if the crontab will do what you wish it to do.

Actually pine has some nice features - after using it for a couple of
years I outgrew it and welcomed mutt into my life. I love it's
configurability, but pine is a good package for e-mail, but using it for
nntp is not recommended IMHO.
