Hi Ed, Thanks for your advise.
I am using Grub. What I need is toggling to text mode at boot when graphic mode showing on screen for selecting kernels/OS. Esc and Tab keys did not work. I want to type "single linux" to start single use mode. How to modify /etc/grub.conf to have options for text and graphic mode selection at boot/start ? Thanks in advance.
