Hi, Dan or Lori

No expert here, but I think what you need is edit mydestination line in
main.cf to add both internal and external domain. Postfix support 3
different kind of mailbox format, by default, mailboxes are stored in
/var/mail which is a link to /var/spool/mail. The imap that come with
Mandrake works fine (I believe it's uw imap). However, if you want to
use qmail style mailbox, you are better off with courier-imap
(http://www.inter7.com/courierimap/).

Subject: [newbie] help with postfix and setting up a full e-mail system.

I need a good how to on setting up a postfix program. Becuase of work
i've been poisoned by m$ exchange and just can't seem to get postfix
fully configured. I have an intresting reguriement as my internal
domain (interal) and my external domain ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) are not
the same. I have 3 problems. #1 i think i have the transfer map set
up corectly but i'm not sure because i can't get the mail out. The
sending program doesnot get any return messages so i think it's
getting there. #2 How do i set up mailboxes on this system. I've
looked where i thought they should be but I only see the one for
(root). #3 which pop3/imap package works well with postfix and is
sasy to set up? I program in assembly so i do have some technical
skills, and perhaps that's getting in the way here as well....
