yep that worked. I had either gotten ahold of some old information or some bad info because the info I had said that postfix didn't do pop3 and told me about the transfer map setup. Now i just have to set up the other accounts :). As for the relay server no i don't want one. I had just finished cleaning up our m$ exchange server at work because m$, in the infinite wisdom, decided to have the default install act as a wide open relay server.....
