Even using the 40 pin cable and ata33 he will still need to give the I/O addresses for
hd0-hd3 (if all are used) as outlined or the installation will not see his hd because
5.1 did not have built in support for even ata33.
His situation is comparable to that which occurred with the Mandrake 7.1
installation and onboard ata100 controllers including usage of the same means and
formula to derive the I/O addresses.
