Sorry, I should have known better. I'm on 10.1 (Official, Download Edition). I didn't realize that this had changed. Mandrake/iva seem determined to try every possible option for automounting. Don't think I've seen two point releases yet with the same package for this. I'd rather not lose the usb automount, though I could live with it if I have to. > I would think that another thing to do would be to edit the mime-type to > stop KDE from calling K3B when a CD or DVD is entered. That sounds like it might do the trick. But where do I find these mime-types? And are there mime-types to cover such things as "blank cd", which behaves differently than "audio cd" or "data cd". > Auto-launching is one reason I left Windows for Linux. Yeah, but I suppose some people like it. I sent a Windoze user a cd of jpeg photos, and they told me it wasn't working - they put it in the drive and nothing happened 8^}. I had to explain to them that this was not a "Kodak Photo CD" or some such - no included picture viewer software, just the pictures. > Rob -- Ron ronhd at users dot sourceforge dot net Opinions expressed here are all mine.
