To whom? The hardware manufacturers? Oh, boo hoo. Sometimes what people need to
wake up is a big splash of cold water in the face.

The Open Source community has been asking *nicely* for, what, almost a decade
now? As far as I can see, this petition is more of an ultimatum, ie. 'adapt or
die'.

Well, this ain't no tea party. Are we going to stop software patents by being
polite and obsequious? No. Are we going to stop DRM by sending flowery greeting
cards? No.

Suits (politicians *and* grifters) react to only one thing: their necks on the
chopping block.
