Thanks for the reply, but the Modem Blaster is not a winmodem.  It has a 
hardware controller.  My 10.1 was a 4CD set (official) purchased from CD 
discount site.  LE was installed by downloading boot.iso.  When booting from 
it, the install is done over the broadband connection.
