Yes, going from KDE 3.x to 3.3 where x<4 is just fine. When I upgraded to 3.4 briefly from Thac's rpms, it screwed me up royally. Next time I go that way, I will do a backup like you are recommending. And the upgrade of KDE from 10.1 to 2005LE is just a release number, so its a bug fix at worst. -- Linux User #183693 http://counter.li.org/
