Mate - either in the /etc/sysconfig/network or 
the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 there should be a setting that 
says like "PEERDNS=whatever" - delete that from that file, re-edit 
your /etc/resolv.conf and then restart the network again. THAT should do the 
trick mate.
