  | Ok - the origional Windows boot loader didn't get re-installed. I know
  | there is a way to re-install the boot loader using XP, but I don't
  | remember it right now. I have a DOS boot disk that I use, and run
  | "fdisk /mbr" to do it. But I am sure someone will be kind enough to give
  | you the way to do it in XP.

Boot from the WinXP CD. You will get an option to run the recovery console. Do
so. At the command prompt, enter:

fixmbr

You will be asked to confirm.

Do so.

The drive will then boot WinXP again
