I thought it was the other way around.
I have windows XP and mandriva 2005 dual booting on an AMD Athlon and it
goes fine. I already had windows. I did scan disk and defrag, and then
let mandriva do the partitioning. It was scary, but worked fine. I
guess you need to back up all critical files first. I didn't have much,
just photos. I am sure the gurus will have some good advice for you
though, so do wait for them to advise.
