If you are going to stick with using Mandrake, you should realy upgrade
to at lease 10.1, or 2005LE.

Well, I sort of fell into the Mandrake by accident. We were at the flea
market [ shopping mall for the monetarily challenged ] and there was a guy
that had three boxes of computer stuff for $5 each. We are always on the
lookout for cheap because we build and loan/sell some of our excess
computers to those less fortunate than we are [ Sometime we can get someone
an older box that will allow them to get by for a while for less than $50.
Got a great little box sitting here on the floor that we've probably got $15
invested in. ]. Other times we loan them when someone crashes till they can
get theirs back. It just happened that Mandrake was in there amongst all the
other stuff so I'm thinking to myself, "Self, why not give it a try? One way
to get your feet wet, so to speak." I'm not jumping in over shoe sole deep
till I get used to it and learn how to operate it. The SuSE I downloaded for
free off the internet site and burned the installation CD's.

At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. *<[:oD
