Okay - the docs say you can point your browser at http://10.0.0.1 (or
http://10.0.0.2 for USB) and you should see the config screen - you'll
be talking directly to the modem. (My Dlink 300 is set to a different
IP address, but it still works just fine.) If it says it's connected
and has your username in the right box, I'd leave it alone - if it
doesn't, you should then be able to enter the username and password you
received from Optusnet, and click the Connect button, and see what
happens!

I have only done this with ethernet, not with USB; I'd be inclined to
connect it using the ethernet port to the computer with ethernet, and
then connect the second computer to the first with ethernet - but let's
get one thing working first. Once you have a connection on one
computer, we can talk about how to get the other one sorted.

BTW, all the docs (if you didn't get them) are downloadable from
www.dlink.com.au.

Cheers!
