Once they've had the opportunity to read that page, if they still keep
on top-posting I tend to ignore them - if they don't understand the
guidelines, they're unlikely to understand any help I might try to give
them, and if they wilfully ignore the guidelines then they don't deserve
any help :-)
It has been a while sence I signed up, so I don't rember for sur, but
isn't that link supplied with the welcome to the list message, as well
as the periodic welcome message sent to all list members? (Ok - when I
joined the list, the link would have been different...)
I do find that lately I have less patience for people that can not be
bothered to even read the release notes. When the way someone asks
questions shows that they have made no effort to find the answers on
their own, I don't real feal like taking the time to write an answer
that they will understand. It gets real tempting to post RTFM or just
give then the URL for the Wiki site.
