Hi Drew configure your linux box, as stated below. Your xbox you will have to configure that yourself, with a ipaddress. Your laptop as stated below if using dchp will assign an ip address.
I have linksys router, hub, xbox, linux in hub, plus wireless server ;) in basement and wireless laptop. All running nicely no problems at all. Look at www.linksys.com and the xboxlive site for configuration of your router. I had to update my firmware on my router for xbox to work. No problems since doing it though. any probs configuring xbox post back here Kevin Ricardo Rodriguez Peralta wrote: > On 11/2/05, *Drew* <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>> wrote: > > Hi All, > I have just brought a Linsky Router. > What wish to do with it is this:1 connect the main PC running > 2005LE,2 > connect a laptop running XP and 3 connect my XBox to the net. > The linux machine will be the 1st PC connected to the > router, what problems will I have if any,if I connect them to > the net in > this way. > I have found the instructions on how to set up the > Windows PC but > no the Linux PC. > Drew > > > > ____________________________________________________ > Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva? > Go to http://store.mandriva.com > Join the Club : http://www.mandrivaclub.com > ____________________________________________________ > > > > Drew, nothing to worry about.
