hello all,
thanks for the advice.
yes it allows to skip /home from formatting but it wont proceed until i format / (root) partition as well.
and i chose ext2 because Mandriva by default issues this filesystem.can i change their type now?i have 2 partitions,/,/usr and swap.
please confirm me is there any difference in windows formatting and linux formatting.as it is commonly adviced to not to format frequently (at least in windows) as it damages the
disk.in other words any linux equivalent to "format \q" where actual format isnt done but just data is erased completely, aka quick format.
