Dan, Thanks for your reply.

I upgraded as per the SoS instructions. That is, I removed KDE3.4.2 
and installed the basic 3.5 using the commands "urpmi kdebase" and so 
on. Then I installed any missing packages using "Install software". 
The installed KDEBASE packages appear to be all KDE3.5.0-9, the 
KDEADDONS are 3.5.0-2, the lib packages have various 4.5.0-? version 
numbers.

Sorry, but I have no idea which package they are in, and I can't find 
alternative packages - just the ones the various commands installed.

Like you, I want to disable the options!
