Not really.  Those are the settings on my 2006 laptop, which also 
originally didn't offer me the shutdown options.  I hate to say it, but 
have you tried re-booting?  I can't remember for certain, but I think I 
gave up hope, shut down and went to bed, then found it working properly 
the next day.
