Hi all,
A)
I left my computer unattended for a while, and doing so the screen usually goes black (Mandrakelinux 10.0) So is the case for 2006 too (freshly installed today), but bow I could not bring the screen back to life. It seemed to be frozen,
no muse movemenets, mouseclicks or depressoin of keys had any effect.
So, I had to turn to the reset button, which usually is a practice that should be avoided.
Any ideas?

B)
DNS IP Adresses:
I have a router between 2 computers , sharing the internet connection.
When rebooting the internet configuration displays the router IP adress in the field of the Domain Name Server. But that is not sufficient to gain access to the net with an http:/www... address. So I have to type in my ISP's DNS adreesses manually and klick OK. This brings up the connection. In 10.0 I entered these two addresses once, and subsequently the system did remember them.

I have made the appropriate settings, IP addresses and DNS to be retrieved by DHCP.

IP address and DNS addresses are stored in the router, but it seems that 2006 cannot make use of
that info.
Experience with this, anyone?

Per-Anton
