I had that problem with an older Dell machine, with both 10.0 and 10.1. IIRC, I had to: 1. Boot with acpi=off 2. Disable power saving options in the BIOS 3. Disable power saving options built into my monitor Something in all the power saving featurse on the older computer (built before the acpi standard was even invented) was turning off the monitor and/or the video card when idle for some period of time, and Mandrake didn't know how to tell it to turn back on. -- Ron ronhd at users dot sourceforge dot net Opinions expressed here are all mine. ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
