Are you using a x86_64 distibution ?

cause these 2 files, I can't find, AFAICT.

 MySQL-client-4.1.16-1.glibc23
 MySQL-server-4.1.16-1.glibc23

hmm..where'd you get these ?

The only package match I could find was on rpm.pbone.net
and didn't seem to be for mandriva ... not sure now ...

but for x86_64 2006.0, there were these:
MySQL-bench-4.1.12-3mdk.x86_64.rpm
MySQL-client-4.1.12-3mdk.x86_64.rpm
MySQL-common-4.1.12-3mdk.x86_64.rpm
MySQL-Max-4.1.12-3mdk.x86_64.rpm
MySQL-NDB-4.1.12-3mdk.x86_64.rpm

lib64mysql14-4.1.12-3mdk.x86_64.rpm
lib64mysql14-devel-4.1.12-3mdk.x86_64.rpm

Same version numbers for i586 in Main, and version 12 and 15 are
in Contrib. For both i586 and x86_64 ...

Did you download these ? Where they a club special (not in the club
at the monent, so wouldn't know)
You dont appear to be running x86_64 though, if thats the case.
