http://trends.newsforge.com/trends/06/03/15/208240.shtml?tid=138&tid=2 Their excuse is that Gael was heading the community relations side of things and that they don't need/want that any more, so it's more that they have abandoned their roots as a user-friendly desktop linux and are instead choosing to pursue the corporate sector instead (as if we didn't already know that from everything else that has happened in teh last 12 months). The ironic thing is the short-term memory loss in the company that it was leaving their solid base to chase some grand dream that almost destrued the company and it was only the community that saved them. Our reponse is obvious, go look for a distro that still serves a community and will remain committed to that community, while retaining the use-of-use we all liked about Mandrake.
