Thanks, that would have helped. But it was only one of the issues that led me 
to give up on it. The repeated crashes were the worst. I've moved on, and not 
going back any time soon.

But I'm talking about the install process, before I ever get an opportunity to 
edit the repository list. It doesn't ask you if you want to check for 
available repositories and update, it just does it, and is non-interruptible 
(except with the power button).
