I updated my version of xorg from updates (maybe that will help? if not I'll try what you suggested), now running xorg-x11-6.9.0. What's your version? I googled acpi, and I'm wondering if X chewing my CPU (well, just that one time), and XScreensaver not behaving properly are related. I configured the XScreensaver to go into power-saving mode after 45 mins, but it never does. The screensaver comes on after 10 mins (blank screen), but the display never goes into suspend or anything after that. Could this acpid be related to both probs? What does acpi have to do with X acting up?
