That is what I am running also.

I don't know what the exact problem is that acpi is doing to the system,
but I know that it has to do with a glitch in trying to access some
power-saving resources that only exist in laptops/notebooks and not in
desktop machines.

I dare not say if it has to do with XScreensaver, as I don't run that.
(I simply switch off the monitor when I don't use it).
