On Mon, 10 Apr 2006 06:39:22 +0200 Paul got an infinite number of monkeys to type out:
> >Missed that one, what's goin' on? > > Whenever I run something that calls the Java Virtual Machine, the > process dies. > The problem exists in a file called /lib/tls/libc-2.3.5.so (and also > /lib/i686/libc-2.3.5.so). > It happens for instance when Firefox calls it to run a java applet, or > when I want to run a Jboss application server. > The error message is about a non-existing function in the library. Where did you install Java from? I installed java (which I'd prefer not to, it eats CPU like crazy, but I need it for Azureus, Limewire, and most importantly, my router) from the Sun site, and all java apps work okay. Did you try plugging the error message directly into Google/linux? That very often yields me a suprisingly large number of matches. -- JoeHill / RLU #282046 / www.freeyourmachine.org +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "The future is here.
