Everything was working fine soundwise, except I couldn't get sound from audio CD's. Everything else was fine. But no, I gotta go messing around, ran alsaconf, then I had no sound in Doom3, which has to use the OSS driver.
How can I back out of the changes alsaconf made? I commented out the lines added to /etc/modprobe.conf and restarted the sound server, but still no sound.
