Never mind about that one. Once I rebooted it was all working fine. I did the rest of the config on the commandline using info from: http://www.zd7000forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=3575&highlight=linux
Now my problem is wlan0 won't set an IP Address even though it's in the config and a network restart gets the wlan0 up.. the IP is set as static but the PC won't set the IP to the wlan0.
I can find the network with
iwlist wlan0 scan
but no IP. I have an open unsecured network at the moment just so I can get this working. Once it's working I can think about securing it.
