I had a similar problem with MCC and a ndiswrapper wireless NIC. I couldn't fix MCC, but it didn't matter because ndiswrapper is easy to use from the commandline. The instructions are here: * http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/Installation but it's basically something like this. As root, install the driver: 1) Insert the NIC. 2) Change to the driver directory. 3) # ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5.inf 4) # depmod -a 5) # modprobe ndiswrapper And then configure it with iwconfig: 1) # iwconfig to find out the interface name (probably wlan0). 2) # iwconfig wlan0 essid NAME key restricted XXXXXXXX I don't recall what I did--if anything--to make it permanent, but it is.
