Hey Guys,

For all who answered my thread. Thanks a lot!

Some of guys got confuded as I mentioned Mandriva and Ubantu somewhere. Actaully I download Mandriva first as it is suitable for my Dell Inspiron 6400. But as I can not create bootable DVD, I downloaded Ubantu thinking there might be some problem in iso of Mandriva.

Gr8 news is that, I can create bootable DVD of Mandriva today! I was just missing how to Burn from ISO and trying many different methods.

Also as Dick asked, about partition -
Scenario -
I have Dell Laptop with Single C: parition worth 70 GB and no free space. Parition magic is not working for me as I have evaluation version. I have to resize the partition. Not to delete and recreate it as I do not want to loose Windows (It's licenced and factory installed).

Till ever I deleted and created partitions many time at the time of Installation. But never resize the live parition havving data.

So I just want to ask -
Can I resize parition without loosing data while Mandriva installtation program?

You can. Just make sure you defrag good and also run backups just to be safe. Chances are you'll be just fine :). What you CAN do is hook up another hard drive, use a live cd then mount the new hd, then cp /mnt/winblows /mnt/newhdpath -a and back up the partition. If you have a spare that's the simple way :). You can then remove the HD and install normally. Hopefully things won't screw up but it's good to make backups.
