Error returning browse list: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
Why would access be denied?
Could it perhaps be a problem of upper/lowercase in the name or password?
Or trying to access the wrong windows domain controller? (I recall vaguely
that NT4 had something like that, perhaps that is a Win2k thing too.)

There must be a setting I'm missing on the win2k box.
From win to lin is working fine.

Lee, If I understand this correctly, Windows is not authenticating the
Linux users, so this could be due to a number of things.
1) SMB4K is using the user 'guest' as a default, but the guest user in
Windows is disabled by default,
2) SMB4K is using the right user and password, but upper/lower case
doesn't match what you have on the Windows box,
3) SMB4K is using the right credentials completely, but Windows has not
been configured to give access to those users,
4) All those users who will be accessing a specific share on the Windows
box must not only be present on that Windows box, but you must also give
them access to that specific share. Check the advanced settings for
whichever share they belong to. You'll have to do this for each
individual share on the Windows box,
5) Windows is setup as a Domain Controller (PDC) and none of the Linux
PC's are requesting access to the Domain, therefore, Windows is not
granting them access to the shares. If you don't need a Domain
Controller, crank Windows down to a simple PC or server and forget about
the Domain Controller - it's usually used by larger businesses which
have a large number of users.
6) Mars and Venus are NOT in proper alignment and your Kharma is all
bad. Forget the whole sharing problem, breathe in through your mouth and
out through your nose, pour yourself a nice cup of Ginseng tea and
enhance your calm. Either that or take the day off and go see a good movie.
Hope one of those works for you! Grin!
