Further to my last post, I'm getting an error now, that I just cannot get past!
I'm getting partitioned, and it looks for available packages. Then I get tjis error: GetAndSaveFile (/mnt/var/lib/urpmi/hdlist.installation CD1 (cdrom1).cz): No such file or directory. It does this with both 2k5 AND 2k6, and if I try a network install from an FTP server, I get the same, but related to the installation media on the server, as opposed to the CD's. Strange! Is this some kind of thing goingon between Dell/Intel/Microshaft to prevent Linux being installed on these machines? I give up.... I'm reinstalling XP as we speak, and I'm ready to roll over and admit defeat with this box! Any ideas for future reference appreciated!
