Well there you go then.
Managed to get a copy of the latest Mandriva-One and after burning it at
4x ~ got it to go without any problems.
So now it looks like I can stay with Mandy afterall.
The only problem I encountered when checking out all the hardware was
that this LiveCD could not handle my wlan ~ none of the others could
either ~ so its off searching to see if Mandriva supports my controller
at this time. Still have the LAN option at home to see me through in the
meanwhile, so not a biggy at present.
