True. Good one ET. IIRC, the biggest problem is the squashfs file
contained in the ISO. This file is a compressed copy of the entire OS as
built by Mandriva (see Mandriva One) or any of the livecd distros and
contains a compressed file of everything (kernel, apps, etc.) they
included in their distro. Sometimes when burned at faster speeds, the
squashfs file can either get corrupted or the initrd file can break it's
connection to that squashfs file, which will result in a borked CD or DVD.
Since it's not something that we all do on a daily basis, burning the
occasional CD at 8 times or slower doesn't end up being a major
inconvenience.
