Hi,
Try alsaconf by typing from the console window "alsaconf"
If alsa recognize the sound card properly and you can not make the sound
system work, try plug-in the sound card another slot.
Trying the different live CD distros may help you about proper hardware
dedection and give you any idea..
Regards.
Tansu
Weird. "alsaconf" is a "command not found" even as I issue it as root.
I have libalsa2, alsa-utils, alsa-plugins and the alsaplayer packages
all installed. What am I missing?
