Subject: [newbie] Installation: always reboot after click "Installation"
Dear all,
I received welcome message that said that:
3) Before asking a question, check the mailing list archive at
http://www.mandrivalinux.org/en/flists.php3
however, whenever I click 'the archive', I got a page with
"Object not found!" so I ask my question here.
Everytime I tried to install Mandriva 2007.0 from CD,
and click "Installation", the computer reboot,
and this occured again and again.
I've tried to add: pci=nomsi pnpacpi=off pnpbios=off,
I got the same symptom.
With the same computer (Intel P4, dual processor)
I could Install Mandriva 2006.00 easily.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks.
Regards,
Muhamad
----CJs reply----
First off, does it display a file name that cannot be found or does it just display "Cannot be found"?
second off, i recommend sticking with 2006 if at all possible. 2007 isnt very easy to install, and even if you get it running, you get will get more bugs when what you will get with windows 95
