Well I bought another Samsung mp3/ogg player, same model as the one I bought a couple of months ago which worked fine on 2006 (and everything else).
The new one has a different suffix. Same catalog number and all, bought from the same store (Newegg). It has a firmware version that only interacts with MS mediaplayer 10 on winxp. Plugging it in on mdr or even win2k results in no recognition of the device, period. A pity for many reasons because it is a nice little toy. Shame on Samsung. They just bought the weenie forever from this house. Any product, any time. I just want to stuff them all up, etc........................
