Yep. It's a good strategy for M$. Make the hardware drivers part of
the OS, too. M$ seems to be also adding the 'embrace--->extinguish'
routine with linux s/w too.

M$ has the hardware folks by the b...s. I don't see much being done
that's effective to counter this. It seems especially prevalent in the
'media' area - the next 'big thing' in 'computers'.
