Is this not what Stallman refers to as 'Tivo-isation'? IOW, they've given up on competing head-to-head software-wise (duh), and begun to attack on the hardware front. If I am not mistaken, this is the crux of the current debate between the FSF and Stallman, vs. Linus Torvalds. Quite a ruckus from what I hear. Stallman wants to make sure GNU/Linux does not end up as just another embedded OS inside impenetrable boxes that will end up doing only what M$ and their corporate media thug lackeys want. Torvalds, as usual, just wants to keep hacking and doesn't give a shite ;) -- JoeHill / RLU #282046 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Fry: Things are different this time. Before she was demanding and possessive, but now she wants me to do stuff and stay with her all the time. ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
