i think there is nothing wrong with bios, because with other mdv versions,
power is switched off.

It is not only the software (Mandriva 2007) but BIOS settings also
have something to do with power-off. Just go through the BIOS setup
and find if something is there. If necessary, you can upgrade your
BIOS (CAUTION: It may be too dangerous if you are not doing it
properly).
