Greetings all,
Just downloaded all 6 CDs from Mandriva Club yesterday and burned the
all the ISOs to CD last night. This morning, while trying to install
it I get the following error message:
Quote -
Exited abnormally :-( -- received signal 7
sending termination signals...done
sending kill signals...done
unmounting filesystems...
/stage1/sys
/stage1/proc/bus/usb
/tmp/media
/tmp/stage2

you may now safely reboot or halt your system

Would anyone know what's going on here?
Many thanks in advance.

this is what it says when it's done installing, you may now reboot into
the new boot loader, and choose the new OS that works...
maybe i should have stopped to read the whole post...
some of the problems we used to have with 10.2 we no longer have, yours
may be one of those, is there some reason you wanted to install such an
older version?
do you have an on-board video card? shared video and system memory?
I take it you did not get to install all the programs (etc.) that you
wanted, but had some error that caused the kernel to hiccup?
did you hit ctrl+alt+del?
you may need to pass the kernel some info at boot time...
how far into the install did you get?
