Sorry, should have given you more information... When clicking on the .ASF link, it is actually a javascript to popup a new window asking for username and password. After giving username and password, it sends you a small file named "pccs.gateway" which in turn gives the media player of your choice (mplayer?) the appropriate link to the .ASF file to play. But mplayer does not show up, the popup window shows up, you enter username and password, the statusbar at the bottom of the window shows "connecting to. " then changes to "waiting for" the firefox download window shows up with pccs.gateway, the file starts to play. the popup window statusbar still shows "waiting for". then about 5 to 10 seconds later, the popup window closes. the file stops playing. I think it has a timeout and when it does not get a response it closes. mplayer seems to be getting in the way of the response. but i cannot find any way of setting up the mplayer plugin. nothing shows up when the file starts playing TIA Al ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
