very short answer would be;
how many programs are available on the CDrom medium for instant install.
and the difference between 2006, and 2007, primarily being when the end
of life support happens. naturally the newer version has the more
up2date programs and eyecandy. you can download whatever you want for
either version still as far as other software. (go with the new
version...)
